What's the difference between the Legal AI Digital Twin in eFirm Purple and Legal AI Chat Pro?
They are two separate products. eFirm Purple is our practice management product; Legal AI Chat Pro is our standalone Legal AI product. Each is sold on its own subscription. With an eFirm subscription, your Legal AI also reaches the firm's matters, documents, contacts and billing context on top of the standard Legal AI Chat capabilities. That combination is what we call the full-stack legal OS.
How is credits consumption calculated?
Credits consumption is based on the underlying usage of each request (input + output processed by the Legal AI Engine). Because every request is different - the length of your prompt, the documents attached, the depth of research, and the length of the answer all vary - it is not possible to know the exact credit cost of a request before sending it. Each plan includes a monthly credit budget that resets on your renewal date.
How much do extra credits cost?
Top-up packs are available in $1, $5, $10, $50 and $100. The credits you receive depend on your plan, higher tiers get more credits per dollar. Credits per pack (Free / Starter / Pro / Business): $1 → 2 / 3 / 3 / 3 · $5 → 12 / 15 / 16 / 17 · $10 → 26 / 32 / 34 / 35 · $50 → 144 / 180 / 189 / 198 · $100 → 320 / 400 / 420 / 440. The best per-credit rate is $0.227 on the $100 Business top-up, about 27% cheaper than Free at the same volume.
I'm an existing eFirm customer - how does this affect my subscription?
Your current eFirm subscription is not affected. As part of this release, every existing customer received a complimentary Legal AI Chat subscription mirroring their eFirm plan: eFirm Gold customers get Legal AI Chat Starter, and eFirm Purple customers get Legal AI Chat Pro - free until your next renewal. On renewal, Legal AI Chat will not be auto-charged: you will need to subscribe to it again if you want to keep it. eFirm itself renews normally.
Can I subscribe to eFirm annual and add Legal AI Chat monthly?
Yes. eFirm and Legal AI Chat are two separate subscriptions with independent billing cycles. You can mix and match: eFirm annual + Legal AI Chat monthly, eFirm monthly + Legal AI Chat annual, or any other combination that fits your firm.
Do you offer a bundle discount if I subscribe to both eFirm and Legal AI Chat?
No. eFirm and Legal AI Chat are priced as standalone products and there is no bundled discount. Each subscription is billed separately at its standard rate.
Is the eFirm trial process the same as before?
Yes, eFirm still offers a free trial with the same flow as before: three days on Boutique monthly, five on Boutique annual, five on Purple monthly and seven on Purple annual. Legal AI Chat has no trial. Instead every Free workspace gets 20 credits as a sign-up gift, so you can try it before subscribing.
What if we need both eFirm and Legal AI Chat?
You can run both, and most firms that do end up treating them as one system: eFirm holds the record, Legal AI works on it. They stay two subscriptions, each managed and billed independently from your account. Most firms start with one and add the other once the team is ready.
Where is my data stored? Is it secure?
Data is stored in cloud infrastructure built to ISO 27001 and ISO 42001 controls, with AES-256 encryption at rest and TLS 1.3 in transit. Default residency is global; Business plans support regional residency (GCC, EU, or US); Enterprise supports custom residency and on-premise deployment. Zero training on your data is guaranteed from Starter upward, and HAQQ is built to GDPR requirements on every tier.
