Under Syrian Labour Law No. 17 of 2010, unjustified dismissal entitles a worker to two months' wage per year of service (capped at 150× the general minimum wage) — Article 65. Uninsured workers also receive an end-of-service gratuity of one month's wage per year (Article 63). Notice is two months for indefinite contracts (Article 56). A resignation is valid only once registered with the Directorate of Social Affairs and Labour and may be retracted once within a week.
