Compound is a fully licensed German law firm, its lawyers regulated by the Düsseldorf Bar Association and carrying professional indemnity insurance, that uses proprietary AI internally and publishes its fees. Its own site lists "Contract review & redlining SaaS, supplier, customer from €750" and "Contract drafting MSA, SLA, frameworks from €1,500," alongside monthly retainers from €4,000.

That transparency is genuinely unusual for a law firm. It remains a firm, not a platform: no billing layer for another firm to run, and coverage limited to Germany, Austria and Switzerland plus a handful of common-law jurisdictions in German and English.

Compound's practice covers Germany, Austria and Switzerland, plus common-law contract work under UK, US Delaware and Singapore law. Its founders, Marko Bradic (CEO) and Mohit Tilwani (CTO), both come from Trade Republic and Alphalink; its Chief Legal Officer, Julian Jantze, previously worked at Gleiss Lutz and Latham & Watkins.

No funding announcement, investor or valuation could be found in public coverage or on the company's own site, so its capital structure is not something we can verify. HAQQ, by comparison, reasons across 200+ countries and works natively in Arabic, well outside what a DACH-focused firm covers.
