A CRM-first spinout with an AI label, light on AI specifics

Crespect started as an in-house tool built by Sorainen, a Baltic law firm, and was spun off as a standalone product in 2022. Its own site brands it "AI-native," and its practice-management, CRM and billing feature set is genuinely comprehensive, client insight, intake, compliance checks, referral management, live and predictive reporting.

What we could not find on Crespect's own site is a specific description of legal-drafting, contract-review or legal-research AI functionality, the parts of "AI-native" that would put it in direct competition with a legal-AI platform rather than a CRM-driven practice-management tool. The AI label describes the product's positioning more than a documented drafting or research capability, and none of Crespect's public case studies or feature pages walk through a specific AI-drafting or AI-research workflow the way a legal-AI vendor's materials typically would.

    Real EU compliance depth

Crespect's security page is specific and credible: client data is hosted in Germany, it offers a GDPR-compliant DPA, encryption in transit and at rest, MFA, role-based access controls, and scheduled third-party penetration testing. It also claims alignment with eIDAS 2.0, the NIS2 Directive and AML requirements, a genuinely strong EU regulatory posture for a firm that needs data residency inside Europe specifically.

That focus is also a boundary: Crespect's compliance framing is built around EU regulation, not the broader multi-jurisdictional compliance question a firm outside Europe would need answered.

    • “All client information is hosted in Germany, ensuring full GDPR compliance from day one.” , checked 2026-09-03

    Language and jurisdiction stay European

Crespect's site offers English, Polish and Spanish, no Arabic, and no stated support for jurisdictions outside Europe. That fits its EU-hosted, EU-compliance-focused positioning but limits it for a firm working across a wider footprint.

HAQQ supports 9 languages including native Arabic with right-to-left handling, and is built for jurisdiction-aware reasoning across 200+ countries rather than a single regulatory region.

    Which one should you pick?

    Choose Crespect

    • Your firm needs data hosted specifically inside Germany/the EU with documented GDPR, eIDAS 2.0 and NIS2 alignment.
    • You want a CRM-driven practice-management tool built by lawyers, for lawyers, with strong client-intake and referral-management features.
    • Polish or Spanish-language interface support matters to your team, and Arabic or broader multi-jurisdiction reach does not.
    • You're comfortable evaluating a product without published pricing, since Crespect's public pages show none.

    Choose HAQQ

    • You want documented, native legal-drafting, contract-review and research AI, not a CRM platform branded AI-native without those specifics on its own site.
    • You need Arabic-language support and coverage across 200+ countries, not an EU-only footprint.
    • You want published pricing you can evaluate before talking to sales, since Crespect displays none on its public pages.
    • You want compliance coverage that extends beyond EU-specific frameworks to jurisdiction-aware legal reasoning generally.

    Switching from Crespect

Crespect holds client CRM data, matter records and billing history, so treat this as a genuine data migration, especially if your firm has built out custom client-journey or compliance-tracking workflows inside it.

    1. Export client records, matters, documents and billing history from Crespect before cancelling.
    2. Document any custom compliance workflows (COI, AML, KYC) configured in Crespect so they can be replicated.
    3. Load matter documents and templates into HAQQ's knowledge base so AI drafting and research start from your firm's own precedent.
    4. Run new client intake through HAQQ in parallel for one cycle before retiring Crespect.

    The verdict

Crespect's EU data-residency and compliance story is genuinely strong; its own site doesn't document legal-drafting or research AI the way HAQQ does, and it publishes no pricing at all.

Best for: Firms outside the EU, or needing Arabic and coverage across 200+ countries, that want documented AI drafting and research alongside practice management.

Crespect offers strong practice management features. HAQQ matches those capabilities and adds AI-powered legal drafting, research, and multi-jurisdictional support.

    Does Crespect have AI features?

Crespect does not include built-in legal AI. HAQQ's Justinian engine provides AI drafting, research, and contract review natively.

    Does Crespect support multiple languages?

Crespect has limited language support. HAQQ supports 7 languages including native Arabic RTL, English, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, and German.

    Where is Crespect's data hosted?
