A batch of contracts, read into one table
Put the contracts in a Data Room and ask for the same terms from each: change of control, assignment, termination. HAQQ answers row by row, and each finding points back to the document and section it came from.
What is tabular review in HAQQ?
It is a way to read many contracts as one table: one row per document, one column per term you care about. In HAQQ you load the contracts into the Data Room of a chat or project, ask one question across all of them, and each finding points back to the source document and section. For larger sets you work in batches and keep a running risk register.

From a folder of contracts to a risk register
This is the multi-document workflow the HAQQ docs describe, one step at a time.
- 1
Load the contracts into the Data Room
Each chat or project has its own Data Room. Attach PDF, Word, Excel or text files and each one is indexed, moving from pending to processing to ready. HAQQ only reads files marked ready.
- PDF, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, CSV, text and images
- One Data Room per chat or project
- File count and size set by your plan
- 2
Name the terms you want from every contract
Say what to look for across all of them: change of control, IP ownership, material liabilities, termination risk, assignment restrictions. Ask runs that one question across the whole Data Room at once.
- The columns, in plain language
- One question across every ready file
- Included from Pro, credit-based on Free and Starter
- 3
Read the table, then check any finding
The answer comes back row by row, with the key terms, the flagged issues and a risk rating for each contract. Each finding points to the document and section it came from, so you open the clause before you rely on it.
- Key terms and a risk rating per contract
- Citations to document and section
- Company, team, personal and public sources shown apart
- 4
Consolidate the batch into one risk register
Ask for the findings as a single due diligence report, with a prioritised risk register and recommended conditions for the SPA. For a larger set, work in batches of five to eight and keep a running register. HAQQ carries the context, so each batch builds on the last.
- One prioritised register across the batch
- Recommended conditions for the SPA
- Export as Word, PDF or Markdown
What the Data Room does for multi-document work
A Data Room per matter
Every chat or project keeps its own set of files, so a deal's documents stay with the deal.
One question, every document
Ask runs across the whole Data Room at once, rather than the handful of files attached to a single message.
Citation-grade retrieval
Answers point back to the source document and section, so every row can be checked against the contract.
A running risk register
Batch after batch, HAQQ carries the context forward and keeps one register up to date.
Brief it once
Drop a deal brief into the Data Room once and it is there for every question that follows.
Sources you can tell apart
When HAQQ searches the Data Room, results are split into company, team, personal and public sources.
What teams use it for
The data room stays yours
Multi-document review runs on the same controls as the rest of HAQQ. The files in a Data Room stay inside your workspace.

Tabular review questions
How many documents can I review at once?
A Data Room holds 3 files on Free, 10 on Starter, 25 on Pro, 40 on Business and 50 on Enterprise. For large sets, the docs recommend batches of five to eight with a running risk register. Review at terabyte scale is a custom project, so contact us to scope it.
How do I check where a finding came from?
Each finding points back to the source document and section, so you can open the clause it rests on. The table is a first pass that narrows what a lawyer needs to verify. Sign-off stays with the lawyer.
Which file types does it read?
PDF, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, CSV, HTML, Markdown, plain text and common image formats. A file is read once it is marked ready. The maximum file size is 10 MB on Free and 100 MB on Starter, with no per-file cap from Pro.
Can I export the results?
Yes, as a document. Tables are kept intact in the document panel and export with it as PDF, Word or Markdown, depending on your plan. A spreadsheet editor is not enabled yet.
Which plan includes it?
Every plan has a Data Room. Asking one question across it is credit-based on Free and Starter and included from Pro. Larger Data Rooms come with the higher plans.
