Built for the client side, not the firm side

Eudia is one of the best-funded companies in this category: $105M in Series A from General Catalyst, of which $75M was earmarked for acquisitions, then the purchase of Johnson Hana and its 300+ legal professionals serving Airbnb, Stripe and Citibank. Its platform codifies a company's own contracts, policies and precedents into enterprise legal agents, and it is a launch partner on Google's Gemini Enterprise for Legal. That is a serious product — for in-house teams. It has no client invoicing, no published pricing and no MENA or Arabic depth, because a legal department does not bill anyone. HAQQ is built for the firm that does.

    For firms that invoice clients

Eudia optimises an in-house department's spend. HAQQ runs matters that generate revenue, with time capture and invoicing wired into the same record as the AI work.

Jurisdiction and language, not just scale

Eudia serves large enterprises in English. HAQQ enforces jurisdiction across 200+ countries and works natively in Arabic, covering markets Eudia's model does not reach.

    Pricing you can read

Eudia is enterprise sales with no published rates and a services layer attached. HAQQ publishes its plans, so a boutique firm can start today without a procurement cycle.

Software for the client side, with a services arm attached

Eudia started as, and mostly still is, a software platform: an 'augmented intelligence' layer that ingests a company's own contracts, policies and precedent to build enterprise legal agents for in-house teams. In July 2025 it acquired the ALSP Johnson Hana, adding 300+ legal professionals, to pair those agents with human lawyers under an 'Eudia Counsel' services brand for work like M&A.

That combination, software plus an acquired services arm, is why this reads as a law-firm-shaped comparison rather than a pure software one. HAQQ stays entirely on the software side: a platform a firm runs itself, never a services arm competing for the client's legal work.

Built for in-house teams, not firms that bill clients

Eudia's named clients, Cargill, DHL, Duracell and Coherent on the platform side, and Citibank, Morgan Stanley, Stripe, Tesco, Airbnb and Coca-Cola via Johnson Hana, are all enterprises buying for their own in-house legal, compliance or procurement function. Nothing in Eudia's public materials points to a law firm as the intended buyer.

That matters because an in-house department doesn't invoice anyone. HAQQ is built the other way round, with matters, time capture and invoicing wired in for a firm that bills its own clients.

No published price, but real distribution

Eudia's own pricing page returns a 404, the same result found checking Harvey's, so its pricing is quoted through a sales process rather than published. It raised up to $105M in a Series A led by General Catalyst (with $75M of that contingent on further acquisitions), and in August 2026 became a launch partner on Google Cloud's Gemini Enterprise for Legal alongside Accenture, Deloitte and KPMG.

HAQQ publishes its pricing outright, so a firm can answer what this costs without a procurement cycle.

    Which one should you pick?

    Choose Eudia

    • You're an in-house legal, compliance or procurement team at a large enterprise looking to reduce reliance on outside counsel.
    • You want an acquired, staffed services arm (Johnson Hana / Eudia Counsel) alongside the software, for work like M&A.
    • You have the procurement capacity for an enterprise sales cycle and no need for published pricing.

    Choose HAQQ

    • You're a law firm that bills clients, not an in-house department. Eudia has no invoicing layer or client-billing model.
    • You need published pricing and a self-serve way to evaluate the product.
    • You need Arabic or multi-jurisdiction coverage. Nothing in Eudia's public materials points to either.

If Eudia is capturing work your firm used to get

Eudia doesn't compete with a law firm directly for most matters. It competes for the work an enterprise legal department decides to keep in-house instead of sending to outside counsel. The response isn't a data migration; it's making sure your own AI-assisted throughput is fast enough that the client doesn't have a reason to route the next matter internally instead of to you.

    The verdict

Eudia is a well-capitalised in-house legal AI platform with an acquired services arm; HAQQ is the platform for the outside firm that still bills the client.

Best for: In-house enterprise legal teams should look at Eudia; outside counsel and firms that bill clients need HAQQ instead.

    Întrebări frecvente

What did Eudia acquire, and why does it matter?

Eudia acquired Johnson Hana in July 2025, adding 300+ legal professionals to what it calls an AI-augmented human workforce. It matters because it confirms the model: Eudia sells completed legal work to enterprises, not software to law firms.

Is Eudia a competitor to my law firm?

Indirectly, yes. Every hour of work an enterprise routes through Eudia's platform and lawyers is an hour it does not send to outside counsel. HAQQ is how a firm answers that: match the speed, keep the client.

Does Eudia handle billing or practice management?

No. Eudia is built for in-house legal, procurement and compliance teams, so it has no client invoicing and only partial matter workflow. HAQQ includes practice management and billing alongside the AI.

What did Eudia's Series A actually fund?

Up to $105M led by General Catalyst, structured so $30M was available upfront and the remaining $75M was contingent on Eudia completing further acquisitions subject to General Catalyst's approval, which is how it funded the Johnson Hana purchase.

    Is Eudia a Google partner?

Yes. Eudia is a named launch partner on Google Cloud's Gemini Enterprise for Legal (announced August 25, 2026), supplying a knowledge agent for research, document analysis and compliance screening, alongside partners like Accenture, Deloitte and KPMG.

    Does Eudia publish pricing?

No. Its pricing page returns a 404, matching what several other enterprise legal AI vendors do: pricing is quoted through a sales conversation, not published.
