    Adel vs HAQQ

Adel is the best Arabic legal AI built for one country. HAQQ is built for a practice that crosses borders.

    The Bottom Line

Adel (عادل) is the strongest MENA-native product in this category and we would rather say so than pretend otherwise: Arabic-first rather than Arabic-translated, a document library in the tens of thousands, thousands of legal teams on it, and real traction in the Saudi market. Its limit is its focus. It reasons in Saudi law, and stops there. HAQQ is Arabic-native too, and then enforces jurisdiction across 200+ countries, runs the matter, and produces the invoice.

    Same Arabic, wider law

We do not claim an Arabic advantage over Adel; it is genuinely Arabic-first. The difference is reach. HAQQ enforces jurisdiction across MENA, the EU, the UK and the US in one workspace, so a cross-border matter does not need a second tool.

    From answer to invoice

Adel helps a lawyer produce work. HAQQ carries that work through the practice: matter, time capture, billing and an audit trail, so AI-assisted hours are invoiceable rather than absorbed.

    Seven languages, not two

HAQQ runs natively in Arabic with full RTL plus English, French, Spanish, Italian, German and Portuguese, which matters for firms serving Gulf clients with European counterparties.

The most verifiable adoption in this comparison set

Of every MENA consumer and prosumer legal app we researched for this comparison, Adel has the most concrete, checkable adoption signal: 4.6 out of 5 stars from 686 ratings on the iOS App Store, ranked #161 in the Productivity category as of our check on 3 September 2026. Adel's own site adds larger claims on top — 30,000+ active users, 500,000+ downloads, 2,000+ legal teams and a library of 70,000+ Saudi legal documents — which we could not independently verify but which are at least consistent with a product that has real App Store traction behind it.

The App Store listing was last updated 1 August 2024 (version 1.6.02) as of that same check — over a year without a visible update, worth knowing if a firm is weighing how actively the product is maintained against how actively it is marketed.

Real Arabic depth, one country's law

We do not dispute Adel's Arabic quality; it is genuinely Arabic-first rather than a translation layer, and its 70,000-document library of Saudi laws, regulations, circulars and rulings is a real research asset for Saudi practice. Its limit is scope: everything in that library, and every answer Adel gives, is scoped to Saudi Arabia.

HAQQ's Arabic is built the same way — native, not translated, with full right-to-left drafting — and then extends jurisdiction enforcement across 200+ countries in seven languages. A firm whose matters stay entirely inside Saudi Arabia may never need that breadth. A firm with even one cross-border counterparty does.

Published SAR pricing versus a per-seat practice price

Adel's published pricing — 149 Riyals/month for the Basic package with 25 document creations and 10 reviews, 199 Riyals/month for Premium with 50 creations, 25 reviews and unlimited "Ask Adel" — is genuinely accessible for a solo Saudi practitioner or small team, and it is public, which several competitors in this set do not offer.

HAQQ's Pro tier is priced per lawyer per month and includes the practice layer, matters, time capture and invoicing, that Adel's plans do not. Whether Adel or HAQQ is cheaper depends on whether a firm is paying for drafting credits or paying to run the whole practice.

    Which one should you pick?

    Choose Adel

    • Your practice is entirely inside Saudi Arabia and you want a low, published SAR price with real Arabic-native drafting and a large local statute library.
    • You want a product with real App Store traction — 4.6 stars, 686 ratings — in the specific Saudi market rather than a newer, less-reviewed alternative.
    • You need per-document and per-review credit limits that map cleanly onto light, occasional use rather than a full practice subscription.

    Choose HAQQ

    • You have any cross-border matter — HAQQ enforces jurisdiction across 200+ countries in seven languages in the same workspace.
    • You want matter management, time capture and invoicing built in, not a separate tool bolted onto a drafting-credit plan.
    • You want a product with a live free tier and 16 free legal tools you can try before committing to a paid plan.

    Switching from Adel

Moving off Adel mainly means moving the documents and templates you have built inside it, since Adel's own matter and billing footprint is limited. The Saudi-law grounding you have relied on inside Adel carries over cleanly, because HAQQ enforces the same jurisdiction at the matter level.

    1. Export any documents, templates and clause libraries you have built or saved inside Adel.
    2. Create the equivalent matters in HAQQ and upload those documents into each matter's knowledge base.
    3. Set the matter's jurisdiction to Saudi Arabia so drafting and research stay grounded in the law you are used to.
    4. Add any cross-border matters as they arise, in the same workspace, without switching tools.

    The verdict

Adel is a legitimate choice for a Saudi-only practice that wants low, published pricing and real Arabic-native drafting with a proven local statute library. HAQQ is the better buy the moment a matter crosses a border or a firm wants billing and matters in the same place as the AI.

Best for: Firms with any matter outside Saudi Arabia, or that want practice management and billing alongside the AI rather than a separate drafting-credits plan.

    Questions Fréquentes

Is Adel better than HAQQ for Saudi law?

Adel is deeply focused on Saudi Arabia and does that well. If your practice is entirely Saudi and entirely in Arabic, it is a serious option. HAQQ covers Saudi law within a platform that also handles other jurisdictions, manages matters and bills clients, which is what firms with cross-border work need.

Does Adel handle billing and matter management?

Adel is oriented around legal AI and document work rather than running the practice. HAQQ includes matter management, client intake and KYC, time tracking and invoicing alongside the AI engine.

Is HAQQ's Arabic as good as Adel's?

Both are Arabic-native rather than translation layers, with full RTL. HAQQ additionally enforces jurisdiction across 200+ countries and works in six other languages, so the same Arabic quality extends to cross-border matters.

How many people actually use Adel?

Adel's own site claims 30,000+ active users and 500,000+ downloads; we could not independently verify those figures. What we could verify directly is 686 ratings averaging 4.6 stars on the iOS App Store as of 3 September 2026, which is a real, if smaller, signal of genuine use.

Is Adel's Saudi legal library bigger than HAQQ's?

Adel states a library of 70,000+ Saudi legal documents. HAQQ does not publish a single document count because its research grounds answers across 200+ jurisdictions rather than one national library — the two numbers are not measuring the same thing.

Does Adel handle matters outside Saudi Arabia?

No. Adel's drafting, review and "Ask Adel" features are scoped to Saudi law. HAQQ enforces jurisdiction across 200+ countries in the same workspace, so a firm with GCC or international clients does not need a second tool for those matters.
