Cairo, Egypt - 11 October 2026
HAQQ and the New Cairo Bar Association today signed a strategic partnership and cooperation protocol at the American University in Cairo (AUC), as part of the National Forum on Data Protection & Governance, organized by KMS and Kouncel.

The protocol aims to accelerate digital transformation in the legal sector, advance the use of technology and artificial intelligence in legal practice, and expand access to digital legal solutions for nearly 22,000 lawyers affiliated with the Bar Association.
Under the protocol, HAQQ becomes the Bar Association’s official and exclusive technology partner in the fields of legal technology and digital transformation, alongside education and technology awareness in the field of legal technology.
The partnership represents a strategic step for HAQQ to expand its presence in one of the region’s most important markets and strengthen its institutional cooperation with professional bodies and lawyers.
The partnership establishes a framework for cooperation bringing together legal technology, artificial intelligence, digital transformation, digital security, and the professional development of lawyers. The two parties will also collaborate on organizing seminars, training programs, workshops, and specialized initiatives, with HAQQ contributing to the preparation of at least one legal technology event every three months.
Antoine Kanaan, Co-Founder and CEO of HAQQ, said:
“This partnership goes beyond introducing new tools into legal practice. We are talking about building a long-term relationship between technology and legal institutions, and empowering thousands of lawyers to keep pace with the transformations through which artificial intelligence is reshaping the profession globally. The selection of HAQQ as the official and exclusive technology partner reflects significant trust in our ability to turn legal technology from an idea into practical infrastructure that serves lawyers and institutions.”
He added:
“Egypt is a pivotal legal market in the Arab world, and our partnership with the New Cairo Bar Association represents, for us, a model for what the next phase should look like: direct cooperation with legal institutions, continuous training, and technology that becomes a genuine part of lawyers’ everyday practice.”
With the signing of the protocol, the two parties will begin working to identify the Bar Association’s technical, operational, and legal requirements and to develop future action plans and initiatives.
This framework allows the cooperation to develop progressively in line with the needs of the Bar Association and its members, transforming the partnership into practical and measurable programs.
The agreement forms part of HAQQ’s broader approach to cooperating with legal institutions, bar associations, and professional bodies across the region, with the aim of accelerating the adoption of legal technology and artificial intelligence while keeping lawyers at the heart of the transformation.
Across all the solutions and initiatives developed under this partnership, data protection and privacy will remain at the core of the two parties’ joint work.
HAQQ believes that the future of legal technology depends not only on developing more advanced artificial intelligence models, but also on integrating this technology into legal institutions and providing the infrastructure, training, and expertise required for its responsible and practical adoption.
Through its partnership with the New Cairo Bar Association, HAQQ aims to develop a scalable model for cooperation between legal technology companies and professional institutions, contributing to greater efficiency in legal work and strengthening the sector’s readiness for the age of artificial intelligence.
